Congressman Darin LaHood Endorses Jim Carris for Illinois’ 10th Congressional Seat

Libertyville, IL – Today, the Carris for Congress campaign is proud to announce Congressman Darin LaHood’s (IL-16) endorsement of Jim Carris for Congress in Illinois’ 10th District. LaHood, an advocate for a strong national defense and pro-growth economic policies, believes Jim is the right person to represent the District and advance the policies that will benefit all Illinoisans.

Congressman LaHood serves as a member of the Committee on Ways & Means, the House Intelligence Committee, and the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. As the only Illinois Republican on these committees, his understanding of agribusiness, trade, technology, national security, and the impact of government regulation on the economy make him a strong voice for the heartland in Washington.

“I am honored to endorse Jim Carris for Congress. Jim has a proven track record of successful leadership as an international business leader who has signed both sides of the check,” said Congressman LaHood. “In a District like Illinois’ 10th, a swing district with cities and families previously represented by Republicans, we need a candidate like Jim to win this seat and bring common-sense solutions to Washington. He is committed to standing up for hardworking families, supporting law enforcement, and ensuring our communities are safe and prosperous. Jim Carris is the leader we need in Congress.”

Jim Carris expressed gratitude for Congressman LaHood’s endorsement, saying, “I am incredibly thankful to have the support of Congressman LaHood, a true champion and advocate for the families in his district and a strong advocate for our state. Together, we will promote economic growth and ensure that Illinois remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Congressman LaHood’s endorsement follows two endorsements from former Illinois Senator Mark Kirk and former IL-10 Congressman Robert Dold. The endorsement from Congressman LaHood adds significant momentum to Jim’s campaign as he challenges the incumbent in the general election.
